Party Planning

So at the moment I am Planning maddams Birthday Party which will be early October. She is Turning the big ONE and I want to make it special.
Now I Know that she will have no memory or recollection of it in the future, but she is my first precious little girl and I want to make this day as special as I can. I can always show her photographs later on...lol.
I want to go all out, but then I remember that even though it's my daughters party, the decor and food , lets face it, is for the adults. So no going all out as all the dads will look, think "ok cool" and head off to the TV Room for some sports entertainment and the women, well they will "Oooh" and "Aaah' all th way. Us women take note of all this effort.
So, my darling daughter is going to have a Princess party- of course. Nothing less for my Princess... I am planning on doing everything myself: Decor, Baking the famous Birthday cake (@ tiers no less) and of course Cupcakes (what's a party without cupcakes?).
There are more babies than actual children invited, so I'll have to cater for them too. That means biscuits, finger sandwhiches of marmite and cheese, flings chips etc. us moms we try stick together in the "no-sugar" zone. Although you can't avoid sugar at a party: that's like going to someone's house for tea and then not actually drinking tea.
I am looking very forawrd to this party, celebrating one whole lovely year with my first Born. She is the apple of my eye. Stay tuned for pictures and a blog of the party.

10 reasons why you should have a child

So this may come across as a weird post, you think?

Well I decided to do a post on this topic for those people who are thinking about having children, or don't want children; or are thinking about having children in the far far future! You know who you are... I am trying to convey the beauty and blessing in having children, even if there are days you want to curl up in a corner.
1. The first glance at that beautiful being that grew in your belly for 9 whole months is priceless.
2. There is nothing more gratifying than that first smile. it comes around 6 weeks, and at that time you might be going through a hard patch- that smile makes your knees go week.
3. Everyday is a new day: It's exciting when you see new developments, words and expressions.
4. Babies turn your world upside down. In a good way.
5. You feel whole when you give birth to, and have a Baby. That's the way God designed it.
6. You never thought you could Love something this much. you think there is no more love you can impart to your spouse. Then along comes a Baby and you surprise yourself with how much more Love you have to bestow to this new being!
7. When you are having a bad day, and nothing seems to be going your way; your child will surprise you and say or do something that cute, that everything else that was bothering you will go out the window!!
8. Its the only 'Job' that comes with an outstanding benefit and bonus: You always get something in return and your child can never let you go. You will always be blessed and be able to receive something. It may be a 24/7 job, but its so worth it.
9. A job, a pet, a car can all be replaced. There is no replacement for a child. That's how Big a gift it is.
10. There is no greater Honour in having a child! Raising it, unconditionally Loving it and giving it all you have to making sure they have a full and happy life.
